TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS AND FRIENDS:
As this edition of our Flyer hits your mailbox, it looks like there still is lots of corn yet to harvest. Let’s hope the weather holds and we get some much needed dry-down. It sounds like most of you were happy with your dry bean yields, although those last couple of weeks of harvest was pretty tough, and the Coop reports that the sugar beet harvest is essentially complete. The fall seeding of our wheat crop generally looks good thanks to our recent precipitation events. Now for this corn harvest………
I want to take this opportunity to welcome our new customers in Sterling, Yuma, Wray, Holyoke and Burlington. We look forward to being your trusted equipment supplier well into the future. We are very excited to be part of your communities and assure you we intend to do everything we can to earn your trust and confidence. I would also like to acknowledge the McArthur family for their contributions to agriculture in eastern Colorado over the last 75 years and wish them well in their new business ventures.
For all of our customers, you now have the resources of our entire 15 store organization at your fingertips. If your local dealership does not have the part you need, it is very likely that we will have it to you from one of our other locations via our daily courier service connecting all 15 locations. If your local Integrated Solutions Specialist is unavailable, or does not have the immediate answer, it is quite likely that one of his colleagues in our Company will be able to help you. If we don’t have the piece of new or used equipment you are looking for on your local lot, chances are we will have it at one of our other locations.
As we move toward 2014, our commitment to recruiting local talent has never been stronger. We are actively recruiting high school applicants for the John Deere Ag Tech Programs in Milford, NE and Garden City, KS. In many cases, we provide extensive tuition assistance to financially support these students. We are also actively recruiting graduating college seniors for full-time positions and college juniors for a handful of summer internships we offer. These initiatives provide good paying jobs that help keep our rural communities thriving.
I believe one of the greatest strengths of our organization is our firm commitment to local store management. Our Location Managers are empowered to run the local business as if it were their own while relying on the resources of the larger organization. They are encouraged to become active members of their community outside of work in order to gain the local perspective of customer needs, farming practices and community expectations.
The business of production agriculture is changing rapidly…and the challenges to keep up are great…but, so are the opportunities! You need an equipment supplier and a technology partner, who not only helps you keep up, but helps you get ahead. That’s our ongoing commitment to you.
As the holiday season approaches, on behalf of all the Employees of 21st Century Equipment, I want to wish you all a bountiful Thanksgiving and a merry Christmas season. Thank you for your business…we know you have a choice and we sincerely appreciate your trust in us.
